Lying Home Seller Found Liable for Hiding Mold
After a bench trial, a
judge in New Haven, Connecticut ruled that the seller of a house that had
obvious, visible mold damage - black mold stains in the utility room and water
stained and rotted wood inside - had intentionally concealed the existence of this
problem, and was liable to the buyers for the cost to prevent further water
intrusion, the cost to repair the damage caused by past water intrusion, and

Lawsuit Alleging Improper Mold Removal and Health Effects

DETROIT, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Air traffic controllers from the
Detroit Metro Air Traffic Control Tower have filed a lawsuit in Wayne County,
Mich.
Circuit Court regarding a nearly three-year-old problem of toxic black mold
that has sickened many controllers, including several who have missed
significant amounts of work and continue to suffer breathing and other serious
health problems.
The suit contains allegations that contractors hired by the Federal Aviation
Administration failed to properly remove mold, provide a work plan for
effective removal of mold contamination, have a certified industrial hygienist
present during remediation, conduct proper testing including clearance testing,
and to advise the FAA of the deficiencies in their efforts to remediate the

7 Custodians Sickened While Cleaning Mold
HOUSTON - Seven custodians were hospitalized
after they were sickened while cleaning mold out of a northeast Houston school,
KPRC Local 2 reported Saturday. The mold was found in an annex building at Key
Middle School on Thursday after two workers fell ill and were hospitalized.
Cleanup crews went to the school on Friday to
eradicate the mold. Seven of 15 custodians were sickened, but they were not the
